Job description

As a Logistics Specialist IV, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire logistics function, ensuring seamless and efficient operations. You will execute logistics strategies, manage high-value projects, and ensure compliance with all regulations while optimizing logistics processes.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the logistics function, ensuring seamless and efficient operations.

  • Execute comprehensive logistics strategies to optimize processes and ensure compliance.

  • Manage and analyze records of equipment, components, repair parts, and related manuals.

  • Oversee the allocation and organization of storage facilities for logistics materials.

  • Ensure strict adherence to import/export requirements.

  • Collaborate with senior internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials.

  • Mentor and provide leadership to Logistics Specialists at all levels.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.

  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.

  • Expert knowledge of state, federal, and global regulations related to logistics.

  • Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills.

  • Thorough understanding and experience with the practical application of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques.

  • Progressive experience with inventory databases.

  • Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.

  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.

  • Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.

  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.

  • Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.

  • Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation.

  • A United States Government Security Clearance is required for employment. Applicants who do not currently have a USG security clearance are welcome to apply and, if selected, will be processed for a USG security clearance by SNC prior to employment. Employment will begin once the USG security clearance is granted. If applicant is unable to obtain USG security clearance, the offer of employment will be withdrawn.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

  • Master proficiency in logistics software and tools.

  • Familiarity with BSI (Big Safari Inventory) management system a specialized inventory management for rare aircraft and quick-reaction projects or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems.

  • HazMat Training/Certification.

  • Ability to operate a forklift.

  • Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS.

  • Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and clean driving record.

  • Understanding of shelf life.

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

  • Ability to work on your feet for a majority of the work shift.

  • Ability to work in a loud environment.

  • Ability to travel as needed.

  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
