Title Business Analyst with Power BI exp
Job description
Gather and document business and data requirements from underwriting, claims, and broker management teams. Translate business KPIs and metrics into detailed Power BI reporting specifications. Partner with data engineering teams to define and validate data models aligned with the modern data platform (Azure, Snowflake, or Databricks). Support migration of legacy reports and dashboards (Excel/SSRS) into Power BI while ensuring data consistency. Design and validate Power BI dashboards for broker performance, policy growth, claims trends, and customer insights. Perform data validation and reconciliation between legacy systems (Guidewire, Duck Creek, Salesforce) and the modern data warehouse. Conduct root cause analysis for data quality issues and support governance and stewardship activities. Document business rules, data definitions, and transformation logic for KPIs and reports. Collaborate with delivery and project teams in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, UAT, demos). Communicate analytical findings and dashboard insights effectively to business stakeholders and leadership. Support user adoption through training, walkthroughs, and knowledge transfer on Power BI usage. Contribute to overall data modernization goals improving reporting efficiency, accuracy, and accessibility for decision-making.
