Additive Programmer Position Summary

Currently we are looking for a Additive Programmer to join our Additive department. The Additive Programmer (3D Printing) is responsible for the creation and implementation of high-quality programs/files for operations using various CAD/CAM and other softwares, models and files.  The programs must be verified for accuracy and ready to be set up and proven out on the 3D printers.  This role will also support the Additive Manufacturing production floor with the process improvement and work to improve file management, software simulations, and DOEs to better understand the DMP technology and where 3D printing industry is heading.

Shift

1st shift Monday - Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm This will be an On-Site position. 


Additive Programmer Essential Job Functions

  • Writes and/or modifies AM programs and instruction sheets for DMP machines
  • Monitors performance of program after implementation, adjusting as needed
  • Maintain program files
  • Provide accurate information for quoting
  • Highly self-motivated and the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to multitask
  • Develop new techniques for support strategies and build parameters when applicable during R&D while maintaining to standard processes during production
  • Provide ongoing support for AM processes
  • Assist in the training of operators on equipment and programs.
  • Assist in the identification and evaluation of new programming techniques and software applications to drive throughput and quality
  • Sets up and operates machine on trial run (prove-out), when afforded, to verify accuracy of machine setting or programmed data
  • Documents all information pertaining to the setup and operation of each job assigned
  • Communicate effectively with the manufacturing engineers, quality personnel, plant personnel, and individuals outside the company.
  • Continual programming of part families
  • Completes all other work-related duties as assigned.

Additive Programmer Minimum Requirement & Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable in CAD/CAM softwares (3DXpert, nTopology, SolidWorks, Creo, GibbsCAM, etc.)
  • Understanding of Laser Bed Powder Fusion, 3D printing slicing softwares is a plus
  • Proficiency in computer skills and electronic data management (word, excel, network file structure)
  • Working knowledge of blueprint reading.
  • Working knowledge of geometric dimension and tolerance (GD&T).
  • High school diploma or equivalent degree (GED) required.
  • Two-year technical degree preferred.

USD $25.00 - USD $44.00 /Hr.

This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. While the full hiring range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range.
