Hospital-Affiliated Optometrist | Glacial Ridge Health System | Glenwood, MN | Full-Time or Part-Time

Join Our Independent Nonprofit Hospital in Minnesota's Lakes Region

Glacial Ridge Health System is seeking a Doctor of Optometry to join our hospital-affiliated eye care practice in Glenwood, Minnesota. Practice clinical optometry with autonomy while having access to hospital resources and support when needed—all in one of Minnesota's most beautiful outdoor recreation areas.

YOUR PRACTICE

Join our modern eye clinic as one of two optometrists. You'll provide comprehensive eye care for all ages with an established patient base and experienced support staff.

Daily responsibilities:

· Comprehensive eye exams and vision care

· Diagnose and manage glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and dry eye disease

· Prescribe corrective lenses

· ER consultations when emergency clinicians need eye expertise

· Work alongside visiting Ophthalmologist (on-site several times a month for surgery and procedures at Glacial Ridge Hospital and follow-up at the eye clinic)

· Provide backup coverage for ophthalmology patients at the eye center as needed

· Coordinate with hospital physicians when clinically appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

· Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an ACOE-accredited institution

· Minnesota optometry license or eligibility 

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

· Experience in medical optometry and ocular disease management

· Interest in hospital-affiliated practice
