We are seeking a Consultant, Engagement & Culture to join our Employee Experience team and help advance an inclusive, connected, and engaging workplace. This role will support both regional and enterprise-wide engagement and culture initiatives, working closely with HR partners, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), regional councils, and other stakeholders across our global community.
Your Key Responsibilities
  • Design, deliver, and support engagement and culture initiatives aligned with global and regional priorities.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise and consultation to HR partners, leaders, and employee groups on inclusive practices and engagement strategies.
  • Contribute to global initiatives while tailoring approaches to regional context, legislation, and cultural nuance.
  • Contribute to the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of programs that support inclusion, belonging, and employee engagement, while ensuring alignment with Stantec's talent brand, values, and strategic priorities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and connector, translating business and people needs into practical, thoughtful engagement and culture solutions.
  • Maintain and support relationships with external partners.
  • Help surface and share stories that highlight employee experience, impact, and success across regions.
  • Provide input and content related to proposals, pursuits, and client requests where people, culture, and social value are required.
  • Support data-informed discussions by partnering with colleagues on engagement insights and employee feedback trends.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or working with ERGs or other employee-led initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating materials for diverse internal audiences.
  • Experience working effectively with a variety of stakeholders and creating strong working relationships.
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgment, as well as possess critical thinking in ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to partner and influence leaders of all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing demands
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools; experience with SharePoint, HR systems, and/or AI tools such as Copilot an asset.
  • Experience working across regions or in a global organization is strongly preferred.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, communications or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
Proficiency in Spanish is a strong asset.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
