Position Overview This Faculty member teaches upper-division Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Hospitality Management courses to students pursuing a Bachelor Degree.
What you will be doing - Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
- Evaluates and advises students
- Develops curricula
- Maintains department standards
- Recruits and participates in retention of students
- Serves on committees
- Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed - Doctorate degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or Management; or Master's degree in Business Administration, Culinary Arts, Hospitality or Management and two (2) years of full-time industry work experience in Culinary Arts, Food Service or Hospitality; or Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Business Administration, Culinary Arts, Hospitality or Management; and two (2) years of full-time industry work experience in Culinary Arts, Food Service or Hospitality.
- All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
- Experience with applied learning methodologies
- Ability to communicate effectively with students with a wide range of skills
- Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work well with students and colleagues in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekend assignments
