Come join our team! We are currently seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Intern to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Belmark Environmental Health & Safety System (EHS) to customer requirements, internal requirements, third party standards and regulatory standards. This includes documentation compliance, auditing, and corrective action & preventive action (CAPA) projects. Position Overview

  • Assist with Internal Safety & Environmental Audits.
  • Conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and draft procedures for the safe operation of production equipment.
  • Conduct workplace environmental (light, noise, chemical) monitoring.
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) inventory.
  • Assist with environmental & safety compliance recordkeeping.
  • Ensure production signage is up-to-date.
  • Research safety and environmental best practices for internal adoption.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by Quality Compliance Manager and Environmental Health and Safety Specialist.

Position Requirements

  • Student enrolled full time or part-time at an accredited university or technical college. Some applicable degrees include Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, and Business Administration.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 15 but up to 40 hours per week.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals and fractions.
