Part-Time Entry-Level Commercial Office Maintenance Technician
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on individual to join our team as a Part-Time, Entry-Level Maintenance Technician. This is the perfect opportunity for someone eager to learn the fundamentals of building maintenance in a commercial office setting. You'll assist our Facilities Manager with a variety of tasks, helping to keep our building safe, clean, and running smoothly.
Hours of Operation are 9am to 5pm // Part-Time working hours will be 10am to 2pm

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Facilities Manager with daily maintenance and repair tasks
  • Perform basic cosmetic repairs such as paint touch-ups, patching drywall dents and small holes, caulking and replacing ceiling tiles
  • Handle minor plumbing issues i.e. clearing drain clogs and assisting with restroom fixture repairs, under supervision
  • Help with basic electrical work, primarily changing light bulbs and ensuring emergency lights are functional
  • Respond to and help resolve basic maintenance requests from tenants
  • Assist in inspections of building systems and common areas. Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of maintenance closets, storage areas, and common grounds of the properties
  • Track and organize maintenance supplies and tools. Inform supervisors when items are running low.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Limited prior professional experience - experience with basic hand/power tools from hobbies, school, or home projects is a big plus!
  • Ability to pass background check
  • Clean driving record
Technical Skills:
  • A strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in learning how things work
  • Must be comfortable and safe while using basic hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers) and power tools (drills, saws)
  • Excellent listening skills and the ability to follow directions carefully
  • A proactive and positive attitude
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsible
  • Good communication skills for interacting with team members and tenants
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
  • Comfortable working on a ladder
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
Work Environment:
  • Part-time, non-exempt
  • Flexible schedule of approximately 15-25 hours per week, primarily during standard business hours
  • This role provides extensive on-the-job training and a great opportunity to develop valuable trade skills
