What are part time clinical preceptors?

Part time clinical preceptors are experienced healthcare professionals, such as nurses or physicians, who supervise and mentor students or trainees during their clinical rotations, but only work in this role for a portion of the week or month rather than full-time. They provide guidance, evaluate clinical skills, and ensure that students meet educational objectives while gaining hands-on experience in real-world healthcare settings. Effective communication and adaptability are key, as you’ll often collaborate with faculty, other preceptors, and healthcare staff to provide feedback and assess student progress.
