Job description

Our Human Resources Administrative Assistant is responsible for the administrative support of the Human Resources office. This role provides HR Service Desk support for the office and appropriate responses to level 1 external and internal inquiries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ. Maintains a courteous Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Every Home for Christ.
  • Adheres to the Biblical standards of moral conduct, Every Home vision statement, Every Home statement of faith, Every Home employee standards and policies, Every Home Covenant of Harmony and upholds Every Home for Christ’s ministry in prayer.
  • Participates in our Christ – centered community through working in the HQ office and actively demonstrate Every Home cultural values.
  • Maintains complete confidentiality of all information.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal/state employment laws and recordkeeping requirements.
  • HR Service Desk - responsible for all administrative tasks and support for Human Resources Office; including accurate information filing, maintaining the department calendar, ordering office supplies, expense reports, bill reconciliation, creating needed reports, etc. ; Providing first level support and assistance to all employees.
  • Provides front line communication to all internal and external requests, forwarding request to appropriate HR person for completion.
  • Responsible for maintaining the HR email inbox as well as providing appropriate template responses or passing on the email to the next level; all done in a timely manner
  • Provides administrative support for payroll; including timecard adjustment assistance, Excel spreadsheet reports, and payroll back up report.
  • Provides back up administrative support for benefit functions
  • Edits HR documents and Employee Handbook for HR leadership review; ensures all documents are up-to-date legally, branding, policy, etc.; ensures updated forms are communicated/provided to HR department and posts necessary forms on HRIS
  • Provides administrative support for performance management procedure.
  • Provides administrative support for Paid Time Off (PTO) management.
  • Plans & provides logistics for HR sponsored events.
  • Performs research on various HR topics, reports back to HR leadership with accuracy and within deadlines.
  • Provides effective & timely communication with all departments on HR related topics.
  • Responsible for accurate completion of Verification of Employment requests.
  • Assists with hiring process: reference checks, applicant responses.
  • Under the direction of HR leadership, assists with the creation, scheduling and tracking of HR trainings.
  • Completes other requests as needed or directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Has an active and personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Attends/participates in a local church
  • Education: Associate’s degree in Human Resources, business or similar field
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources, Office Administration, or similar role
  • Strong spiritual life and commitment to Jesus Christ.
  • Possess high level of integrity and unquestionable character.
  • Hold closely the stewardship of Every Home for Christ ministry and people information
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate servant’s heart with humility in service to Every Home staff.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Federal and State employment law.
  • Must stay up to date on all current Federal and State employment law changes.
  • Upholds/maintains the values of the HR department
  • Ability to follow laws and regulations and provide compassionate service to staff, understanding the balance between law and empathy.
  • Practices active listening
  • Proficient in HR and payroll systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office systems.
  • Highly organized and the ability to keep the HR department organized and well maintained
  • Strong attention to detail; ability to ensure high degree of accuracy in all work performed.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, high quality standards, and last-minute changes all done with accuracy.
  • Ability to successfully problem solve independently and with a team.
  • Possesses a high level of professionalism and communication (verbal/written).

Pay will depend on experience.
