In a Pickle Parrot Shop is a specialty bird store focused on hand-raised companion parrots and the highest standard of care for our animals. We pride ourselves on a clean, healthy, and enriching environment for both our birds and our customers.


Position Overview:

We are looking for a dependable, hard-working individual to help maintain the cleanliness and daily care of our store and bird enclosures. This role is essential to the health and well-being of our birds and the overall customer experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize bird cages, play areas, and enclosures
  • Replace cage liners, food, and water
  • Sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness of all store areas
  • Assist with general store upkeep and organization
  • Follow daily cleaning and care checklists


What This Job Is (and Isn’t):

This is a hands-on, physically active cleaning role. It involves working around bird droppings, feathers, dust, and noise. While you’ll be around amazing birds every day, this position is primarily focused on cleaning and maintenance, not handling or playing with birds.


Qualifications:

  • Reliable and consistent attendance
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes messy environment
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail
