Job description

Position Summary

The Photographer will report directly to the Director, Creative Production and work with the rest of the creative team. This role will be responsible for planning and executing all product and on- and off-figure photography for all cross-functional brand partners as well as file management, some post-production and creative support.

Essential Task, Duties and Responsibilities

  • Learn the aesthetic rules and style guides for all brands
  • Produce different types of elevated lighting techniques
  • Perform photography for product e-commerce, stylized hero product, model campaign and social DTC
  • Develop dynamic, quick-turn content workflows for social and paid media projects
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with the creative team and brands
  • Ensure consistent technical quality and aesthetics for all photography
  • Ability to retouch both product and model imagery
  • Utilize up to date knowledge of product trends, consumer buying and photography/imaging technology to enhance product photo presentation
  • Manage inventory of photo equipment
  • Image archiving and file organization on Dropbox
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed and directed by management

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • 5+ years experience with photography beauty and e-commerce
  • Experience shooting, styling, and retouching cosmetics
  • Social media creative production photo/editing
  • Current with both existing and emerging media delivery methods

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Knowledge and love of beauty, fashion, and lifestyle
  • A photography portfolio that demonstrates a high level of skill in digital photography, lighting, composition, and color quality
  • Understanding of styling, art direction, and good design
  • Experienced user with Canon equipment, Capture One Pro, and studio lighting
