Job description

InGenesis is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to work with our client. In this role, you will provide specialized nursing services in areas like school-based health care, women's health, family planning, and primary care. Work under the supervision of the Clinical and Medical Directors, and guide Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Medical Assistants.

Essential Responsibilities: * Record client health histories and perform comprehensive physical assessments. * Diagnose, treat, and plan health care for clients; refer to physicians or agencies as needed.

* Prescribe medications within specialty. * Perform and interpret lab tests. * Provide case management and education on health topics.

* Maintain electronic medical records. * Conduct in-service education for nursing staff. * Perform other nursing duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities: * General administrative tasks (faxing, filing, copying). * Attend training and meetings. * Conduct research and prepare reports.

* Work at other locations within a 50-mile radius if needed. * Coordinate and promote special staff events. Minimum Qualifications: * Current California RN license * National certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or other certifying bodies.

* Completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program with 2+ years of clinical experience. * Strong nursing, communication, and problem-solving skills. * Proficient in the use of medical and laboratory testing procedures Skills: * Strong language, mathematical, and reasoning abilities.

* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various documents. * Effective presentation and communication skills. Work Conditions: * Local travel and occasional overnight trips.

* Professionalism and confidentiality required. * Physical demands include responding to emergencies, performing CPR, and assisting patients. Physical Demands * Required to respond to any medical emergency, fast walk or jog may be necessary to provide assistance.

* Required to perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling. * Must have the ability to assist sick, injured or aging patients exiting the building during an emergency (may require lifting, dragging, wheeling or carrying someone who weighs significantly more than self). * Must be able to see, hear and smell with or without the use of aides if necessary (exceptions on a case-by-case basis).

* Must easily alternate between kneeling and standing. (exceptions on a case-by-case basis). * Must be able to lift, push, and carry 30 pounds.

* Must be capable of standing on hard surfaces for long periods of time. * Frequently required to operate a computer and file and retrieve written documentation.
