Job description

Overview
JOB SPECIFICS:
  • Dynamic Rheumatology practice expanding and seeking an additional BC/BE physician to join our current Rheumatologist in the practice.
  • Rheuamtology physician support the practice by focusing on patients presenting complex immunologic care while two specially trained rheumatology APNs provide expert care in fibromyalgia, musculoskeletal medicine, and stable immunologic patients 
    • APNs triage new patients to align them with the appropriate level of care (APN or MD)
    • Dedicated support staff to manage: Scheduling, Referrals, Prior Authorizations, and Specialty Pharmacy needs
  • Beautiful office located near OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, OSF Innovation Jump Simulation & Education Center, the new OSF Cancer Center, and downtown Peoria.
    • Lab and pharmacy on-site
  • Lead learning experiences for residents through an academic appointment as core faculty in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria.
  • Incoming physician has the opportunity for regional outreach work if desired.

  • Full time, clinical base salary pay range for this position: $310,000-$355,000.
    • Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state.
  • Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
  • Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies). Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
  • Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
  • Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
