Oracle Fraud Compliance information

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in Oracle Fraud Compliance roles?

Professionals in Oracle Fraud Compliance often encounter challenges such as staying updated with evolving fraud schemes and regulatory changes. They must navigate complex data environments to detect suspicious activities while ensuring minimal disruption to legitimate transactions. Additionally, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams—such as IT, legal, and risk management—to implement compliance controls and respond to incidents is essential. Adapting quickly to new fraud detection technologies and balancing proactive prevention with reactive investigation are also key aspects of the role.

AspectOracle Fraud ComplianceOracle Fraud Analyst

Employer & IndustryFinancial institutions, telecom, retailFinancial services, e-commerce, banking

Oracle Fraud Compliance focuses on ensuring adherence to fraud prevention regulations and policies, often involving compliance audits and risk assessments. Oracle Fraud Analysts primarily investigate and analyze fraud cases, detecting suspicious activities and preventing fraud losses. While both roles require knowledge of fraud detection, Compliance roles emphasize regulatory adherence, whereas Analysts focus on case investigation and data analysis.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Oracle Fraud Compliance professional, and why are they important?

To excel as an Oracle Fraud Compliance professional, you need a strong background in risk management, compliance frameworks, and knowledge of financial regulations, often supported by a degree in finance, information systems, or a related field. Familiarity with Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA), anti-fraud software, and compliance monitoring systems is typically required, along with relevant certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Oracle certifications. Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are crucial to effectively investigate issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams. These skills and qualifications ensure effective detection and prevention of fraud, minimizing risks and maintaining regulatory compliance within an organization.

What is an Oracle Fraud Compliance specialist?

An Oracle Fraud Compliance specialist is a professional responsible for ensuring that an organization's use of Oracle systems and applications adheres to legal and regulatory standards related to fraud prevention and detection. They develop and implement strategies to identify suspicious activities, assess risks, and maintain compliance with financial regulations. These specialists often work with internal audit teams, IT security, and management to create controls, monitor transactions, and investigate any irregularities or violations. Their expertise helps organizations minimize financial losses and avoid legal penalties related to fraud.

Additionally, you'll grow your skills in areas like AI while developing critical systems for the defense industry.
Ready to transform the nation with cloud technology?
You Have:

  • Experience working with containerization, including Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
  • Experience creating advanced OCI solutions
  • Experience developing and deploying production geospatial solutions from concept to O&M
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience with OCI enterprise solutions or 9+ years of experience with OCI enterprise solutions in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and security documentation
  • Experience designing solutions to enable migration from AWS to OCI
  • Experience with OCI AI, ML and LLM offerings

  • Experience leading technical initiatives in large-scale environments
  • Experience with system design, including scalability and reliability
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements
  • OCI Certifications such as OCI Architect or OCI Developer Certifications

Clearance:
