Job description

Location: On Site at location listed in posting
Weekly Schedule: Monday- Friday, 9am-5pm
We are seeking an experienced Windows Server Engineer to join our Windows Application Management Services Team. In this role, you will serve as a key technical resource, partnering with developers and vendors to deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server-based applications. You will also play a critical role in onboarding teams into our DevOps platform and driving automation of application deployment pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal development teams and third-party vendors to deploy, configure, and support applications hosted on Windows Server infrastructure
- Troubleshoot complex application and platform issues across the full Windows Server stack, identifying root causes and driving resolution
- Assist teams in onboarding to the organization's DevOps platform, guiding them through best practices and standardized workflows
- Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and processes to streamline application deployments and reduce manual effort
- Manage and maintain IIS-hosted web applications, including configuration, performance tuning, and issue resolution
- Administer and troubleshoot database connectivity, including MySQL, SQL Server, and ODBC connections
- Manage certificate lifecycles, including provisioning, renewal, installation, and troubleshooting across application environments
- Create and maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and runbooks
- Participate in on-call rotations or incident response as needed
Education & Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Windows Systems Engineer
- OR -
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience as a Windows Systems Engineer
Required Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex, multi-layered technical issues
- Deep experience with Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022)
- Proficiency in IIS configuration, management, and troubleshooting
- Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) / Azure DevOps Server
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation, administration, and tooling
- Working knowledge of MySQL, SQL Server, and ODBC connection configuration and troubleshooting
- Experience managing SSL/TLS certificates - provisioning, binding, renewal, and troubleshooting
