We are seeking an energetic, independent, and mission-driven Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist (VRS) to join our team. You will work daily alongside individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, veterans, and those facing unique economic challenges to help them secure competitive employment and long-term self-sufficiency.

Your Impact: What You'll Do

As a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist, you walk alongside your clients from the first interview to their long-term career growth. On a daily basis, you will:

  • Drive Career Placement: Support individuals in identifying and achieving their career goals, from the initial job search to future advancement.
  • Provide On-the-Job Support: Deliver hands-on assistance during new hire screenings, corporate orientations, and the crucial early weeks of employment.
  • Advocate & Innovate: Identify and implement assistive technologies and reasonable workplace accommodations to guarantee your clients' success.
  • Build Natural Supports: Facilitate positive social connections between clients, coworkers, and supervisors to cultivate an independent workplace culture.
  • Maintain Operational Precision: Seamlessly log daily service updates via OHS software and ensure weekly Person-Centered Planning (PCP/IEP) metrics are met.
  • Manage Logistics: Provide safe community or employment transportation to participants using personal or agency vehicles (fully reimbursed!).

The Essentials (Requirements & Qualifications)

To be successful in this role, you must meet one of our educational pathways alongside our standard technical and compliance criteria:

Educational Track (Must meet one):

  • Bachelor's Degree (Ideally in Early Childhood Education, General Education, or History & Arts) OR
  • Associate's Degree + 1 year of relevant work experience OR
  • High School Diploma / GED + 2 years of relevant work/life experience.
  • Note: 3 years of General Education or Tutoring experience is highly preferred.

Technical Skills & Compliance:

  • Digital Literacy: Demonstrated proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Asana.
  • Mobility: A valid Driver's License, reliable personal transportation, and proper insurance coverage.
  • Screenings: Ability to pass a standard drug screen and comprehensive background check (Federal, State, and County).
  • Certifications: First Aid/CPR certification (can be obtained upon employment).
