  • Evening - $3.00/hour
  • Night - $5.00/hour

  • Pharm Night - $8.50/hour

Premiums:
  • Standby - $4.00/hour
  • Lead - $3.25/hour
  • Per Diem - 15% (on base, in lieu of benefits)
  • Certification - $2.00/hour
  • Trainer - $2.00/hour
  • Student Coord - 1 = $2.00/hour, 2+ = $3.25/hour

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assists in the care and preparation of the surgical patient. Functions as a member of the surgical team creating and maintaining a sterile field. Knowledgeable about instruments, supplies, and equipment used during a surgical procedure. Understands the procedure being performed and has the ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. Possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs. Provides care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Surgical Technologist: OR
At least one of the following is required:
Graduate of a school for training as surgical technologist
OR
Minimum one-year recent surgical technologist experience
OR
Minimum one-year recent central service technician experience
OR
Minimum two-years recent OR/Endo Support assistant experience
Surgical Technologist: Endoscopy
At least one of the following is required:
Graduate of a school for training as a surgical technologist
OR
Minimum one year recent endoscopy experience
OR
Minimum 6 months' clinical experience in a healthcare setting
LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS
  • Current Washington State registration as a Surgical Technologist.
  • BLS required within 30 days of hire.
