About the job you're considering

We are seeking a Quality Automation Lead / Senior SDET to drive end-to-end automation strategy and delivery for complex enterprise applications. This is a hands-on, client-facing role based in one of the locations mentioned above, requiring a strong technologist who can lead modernization efforts while actively contributing to engineering excellence.

The ideal candidate is a builder and innovator who adopts AI-driven automation, Playwright-based testing, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) to enable intelligent, scalable, and context-aware testing systems.

Your role
  • Drive and execute the automation strategy and roadmap aligned to business priorities and release cycles.
  • Design and implement scalable, modular automation frameworks across UI, API, and data layers.
  • Lead hands-on test automation using Playwright, ensuring reliability, maintainability, and high coverage.
  • Apply Model Context Protocol (MCP) to enable context-aware, AI-assisted testing and improved traceability.
  • Develop and integrate API automation suites using Postman into regression packs and enterprise pipelines.
  • Embed automation within CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins) with clear quality gates and release metrics.
  • Partner with stakeholders and offshore teams to deliver measurable quality outcomes, including defect analysis and continuous improvement.
Your skills and experience
  • 3-10 years of experience in QA/Test Automation with strong hands-on engineering expertise.
  • Proven experience building automation frameworks using Playwright (preferred) or similar modern tools.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript for test automation development.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing and automation (Postman, RestAssured, or equivalent).
  • Exposure to Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar context-driven/AI-integrated testing approaches.
  • Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Git.
  • Exposure to AI/GenAI-enabled testing (LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted scripting/debugging).

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $68,911 - $161544.

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
