Accounting Manager - NCR Atleos
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)
Department: Finance - NAMER Controllership
Reports To: Finance Senior Manager
Position Summary
The Accounting Manager in the North America ("NAMER") Controllership team will own various responsibilities related to closing the general ledger for entities based in our North America region. This will include working with various stakeholders (both internal and outsourced) to achieve timely and accurate results and utilizing strong technical accounting skills to ensure that transactions are appropriately accounted for in accordance with U.S. GAAP. The Accounting Manager plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant revenue recognition across Atleos' global product and services portfolio. This position partners closely with FP&A, and Sales to evaluate complex arrangements, maintain adherence to ASC 606, and support a scalable revenue infrastructure as Atleos continues to expand. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting knowledge with operational rigor, financial curiosity, and the ability to communicate effectively with non-accounting stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Recognition & Month-End Close
  • Manage various resource teams around multiple accounting processes in order to complete period end closes.
  • Prepare and/or review both recurring and adjusting journal entries as necessary.
  • Review and approve transactions and monthly/quarterly consolidation accounting tasks including intercompany-related activity.
  • Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review end-to-end revenue accounting processes prepared by Senior Revenue Accountant, including journal entries, reconciliations, deferrals, and contract review.
  • Ensure revenue is recognized in compliance with ASC 606, internal policies, and corporate controls.
  • Review and analyze key revenue accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyze customer contracts, MSAs, SOWs, pricing structures, and modifications to determine proper revenue treatment.
  • Identify performance obligations, transaction price allocations, and appropriate revenue recognition methods.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Deal Desk, and Legal to evaluate nonstandard terms and provide accounting guidance.

Process Improvement & Systems
  • Drive continuous improvements to revenue processes, data accuracy, and automation opportunities.
  • Partner with IT and Business Systems on enhancements to revenue recognition modules within ERP systems.
  • Support the development and refinement of policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Assist in any other special projects as requested.

Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Collaborate with FP&A on revenue and trend evaluations.
  • Support internal and external financial audits by preparing schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and ensuring supported documentation is complete and accurate.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Master's/MBA a plus
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in revenue accounting, or controllership accounting within a global organization
  • Prior experience managing and developing a team
  • Strong, applied knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606
  • Strong understanding of multi-element arrangements, SaaS/subscription revenue, and service-based revenue models.
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with large ERP systems
  • Strong analytical thinker with excellent documentation and communication skills.

Preferred
  • CPA or progress toward CPA
  • Big 4 audit experience a plus
  • Experience with Oracle, Quote Builder, Zuora Billing and Zuora Revenue, or similar revenue tools.
  • Prior involvement with SOX compliance in a public-company environment.
