RN Case Manager – Inpatient | Albuquerque, NM
Facility: University of New Mexico Hospital (UNMH)
Unit: Inpatient Case Management
Shift: Days | 5x8s | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
BLOCK SCHEDULING Available

University of New Mexico Hospital is seeking an experienced Inpatient RN Case Manager for a Level I Trauma and Teaching Hospital environment. This role supports both adult and pediatric patient populations and requires strong acute care case management experience in a large hospital setting.

Position Highlights
  • Day shift schedule
  • 5x8-hour shifts (Monday–Friday)
  • Block scheduling available
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • No on-call required
  • First-time travelers accepted with strong acute care CM experience
  • Teaching and Level I Trauma experience preferred
Requirements
  • Active RN license
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years RN experience
  • MUST have 6–12 months recent Acute Care Case Management experience
  • Large acute care hospital experience required
  • Must be willing to work with adult, pediatric, and women’s populations
  • Cerner experience preferred
  • Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
Responsibilities
  • Inpatient discharge planning and care coordination
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including:
    • Social Services
    • Pharmacy
    • Physical Therapy
    • Respiratory Services
  • Manage inpatient caseloads across adult and pediatric units
  • Float within scope based on facility needs
