Job description

ProInfoNet is seeking an experienced operations leader to oversee our Network Operations Center (NOC) in Bangor, Maine. This onsite leadership role is responsible for managing daily operations, supporting team performance, ensuring service delivery excellence, and maintaining a stable, responsive support environment across complex network systems, including infrastructure supporting the New England Telehealth Consortium.

This role is ideal for a strong people and operations leader who thrives in fast-paced technical environments. While technical aptitude and operational understanding are important, success in this role depends heavily on leadership, communication, accountability, process management, and team development.

What You Will Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing 24/7 Network Operations Center team
  • Oversee staffing coverage, scheduling, workload balancing, and day-to-day operational performance
  • Support employee development, accountability, and performance management
  • Serve as an escalation leader during major incidents and help coordinate response efforts across teams
  • Ensure strong communication, documentation, escalation procedures, and operational consistency
  • Monitor service delivery metrics, incident trends, and KPI reporting
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Project Management, and Sales teams to support successful deployments and operational readiness
  • Drive process improvement initiatives that strengthen efficiency, service quality, and customer experience
  • Maintain working knowledge of supported network environments and collaborate with technical teams on escalations when needed
  • Participate in an on-call leadership rotation

What You Bring

  • Previous experience leading teams in a network operations, technical support, IT operations, service desk, telecom, healthcare operations, managed services, or similar operational environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience managing team performance, priorities, escalations, and operational workflows
  • Ability to lead calmly and effectively in fast-paced or high-pressure situations
  • Technical aptitude and the ability to work effectively alongside engineering teams
  • Experience improving processes, documentation, and operational consistency
  • Comfortable overseeing technical operations without needing to be the most senior engineer in the room

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in 24/7 operational environments
  • Exposure to network operations, infrastructure support, telecom, or managed services environments
  • Familiarity with monitoring platforms such as PRTG, SolarWinds, or LogicMonitor
  • Experience supporting highly available or mission-critical systems
  • Technical certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, or similar are a plus, but not required
