Job Summary:

The Staff Business Systems Engineer will lead the design and optimization of enterprise business systems supporting quote-to-cash operations, collaborating with various teams to enhance process excellence and automation.
Responsibilities:
• Drive the design, optimization, and ongoing support of Order-to-Cash workflows across NetSuite and connected systems.
• Configure and maintain Sales Orders, Invoices, Credit Memos, and Payment Applications within NetSuite.
• Support billing logic for subscription, milestone, and usage-based revenue models.
• Assist in automation of invoice generation, contract renewals, and collection workflows.
• Develop, implement, and support tax solutions across Order-to-Cash workflows.
• Support NetSuite ARM (Advanced Revenue Management) configurations for deferred and recognized revenue.
• Monitor revenue schedules and handle reallocation or deferral adjustments in compliance with ASC 606.
• Work with Finance to analyze revenue, unbilled receivables, and contract assets; assist in reporting and reconciliations.
• Partner with RevOps and Accounting teams to validate billing schedules, revenue arrangements, and item setups.
• Assist with close activities including billing completeness checks, deferred revenue reconciliations, and AR aging.
• Identify opportunities to streamline OTC processes such as invoice automation, customer communication, and payment collection.
• Contribute to a knowledge base of configurations, test cases, and system enhancements.
• Develop and support NetSuite customizations using SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, Saved Searches, Dashboards, and SuiteTalk APIs.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience implementing, configuring, and supporting enterprise business systems with strong focus on NetSuite ERP.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with NetSuite Order to Cash (OTC) processes including: Quote-to-Cash (QTC), Sales Order Management, Billing & Invoicing, Accounts Receivable (AR), Revenue Recognition, Cash Application & Collections.
• Deep expertise in NetSuite ERP modules and configurations related to OTC workflows.
• Strong experience with NetSuite integrations using APIs, middleware, and iPaaS platforms (e.g., Boomi, Workato).
• Experience integrating NetSuite with CRM, CPQ, billing, tax, payment, and revenue systems.
• Strong understanding of SaaS business models, subscription billing, and recurring revenue operations.
• Experience designing scalable business process automation and workflow solutions within NetSuite.
• Proficiency with SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, saved searches, reports, dashboards, and custom records.
• Experience supporting SOX compliance, audit controls, and financial data governance within ERP environments.
• Knowledge of accounting principles impacting OTC processes.
• Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional ERP projects and system enhancements.
Preferred:
• NetSuite Administrator, ERP Consultant, or SuiteCloud Developer certifications.
• Experience with Salesforce–NetSuite integrations.
• Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition processes.
• Experience in high-growth SaaS or technology companies.
• Familiarity with data warehousing, BI/reporting platforms, and enterprise integration architecture.
