We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a Talent Acquisition & Development Specialist in Sarasota. In this role, you will support recruiting efforts, coordinate training initiatives, and assist with employee development programs across the organization. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Coordinate full-cycle talent acquisition activities to help ensure staffing needs are addressed in a timely, high-quality, and professional manner, in alignment with CHRO direction and business priorities.
  • Execute the talent acquisition process, including applicant tracking system activity, job postings, sourcing, candidate communication, interview coordination, testing, candidate care, and offer coordination.
  • Proactively source candidates through direct outreach, networking, industry contacts, professional associations, social media, job boards, employee referrals, colleges, trade schools, and other talent channels.
  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines and related partnerships through career fairs, college and trade-school recruiting, internship/graduate outreach, workforce programs, community partners, and industry-specific recruiting events.
  • Monitor labor market conditions, recruiting trends, competitor activity, candidate availability, and compensation signals to help ensure talent acquisition strategies remain competitive, current, and aligned with business needs.
  • Prepare and maintain talent acquisition metrics and related tracking tools, including the open position log, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, agency usage, advertising results, candidate flow, hiring trends, aging requisitions, hiring barriers, and recommended next steps.
  • Coordinate approved job offers, promotions, job changes, and other employment-status changes with the CHRO and Payroll & Benefits Specialist to support accurate and timely processing.
  • Assist the CHRO and department leaders with reviewing, developing, and maintaining accurate job descriptions that reflect current duties, reporting relationships, qualifications, and business needs.
  • Support the CHRO with talent acquisition strategy, job description audits, and related talent initiatives as assigned.
  • Own and coordinate the Company's training and development program, including researching, recommending, coordinating, and tracking training opportunities for employees and managers; maintaining the training calendar and catalog; coordinating LinkedIn Learning and other training resources; sourcing internal and external presenters or trainers; managing employee sign-ups and participation tracking; partnering with managers to identify skills gaps and individual training needs; administering post-training surveys; and reporting feedback, participation, and recommended improvements to the CHRO.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling candidate, employee, and other sensitive information.

WHAT YOU BRING:
  • 5+ years of progressive talent acquisition, corporate recruiting, or related HR experience, preferably with experience supporting recruiting strategy, proactive sourcing, hiring manager partnerships, and employee development initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively source candidates and build effective talent pipelines.
  • Experience evaluating agency relationships, recruiting resources, and external recruiting partner results preferred.
  • Experience with college recruiting, career fairs, internship programs, trade-school outreach, or early-career talent pipelines preferred.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, listening, and interpersonal communication skills, with a strong customer-service mindset.
  • Working knowledge of lawful recruiting, interviewing, selection, and employment practices.
  • Ability to travel locally and attend recruiting events, career fairs, college programs, seminars, and related business events as needed.
  • Strong writing skills, including the ability to draft job postings, job descriptions, candidate communications, memoranda, and other professional business communications.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and ATS platforms, reporting, analytics, and data management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and related business systems.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, follow-through, and documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of interviewing techniques, candidate evaluation, and selection processes.
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and follow through on competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • General knowledge of HR practices, employee development, compliance, and talent acquisition processes.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and support Company policies, practices, culture, and Guiding Principles & Values.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive, with the ability to take initiative while keeping the CHRO appropriately informed and aligned.
  • Ability to make sound recommendations while recognizing matters requiring CHRO review, approval, or escalation.
  • Professional presence and judgment, with the ability to interact effectively with executives, managers, employees, candidates, vendors, colleges, and community partners.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • General sedentary work requiring the use of office equipment such as computers, copiers, printers, scanners and telephones.
  • Position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, grasping, writing, typing, repetitive motions, hearing ability, visual acuity, and climbing stairs on occasion.
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
