Job description

The GSM leads a proficient workforce in overall operations of the dealership to meet or exceed sales forecasts & objectives, gross & net profit goals & customer satisfaction objectives. Our ideal candidate has Automotive General Manager or high-volume General Sales Manager Experience.

Employees in this position will be paid a base salary, plus commissions.  Commission amounts vary based on performance, but the expected average annual earning in this position are $175,000 to $230,000.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote & understanding of & strong commitment to client satisfaction & to the Mossy Team
  • Plans and implements successful dealership operations
  • Maintains CSI at or above company standards
  • Assesses the operations of all dealership departments to improve performance & set profitability goals & objectives
  • Oversee & work with department managers to improve operations, performance, and profitability
  • Oversee training and supervision of all dealership employees; along with hiring & discipline
  • Meet daily with department managers to review prior day performance, prevalent decisions, issues of concern, and to service daily objectives
  • Maintains good working relationship with manufacturer and lending institutions
  • Establish and/or approve policies & procedures to ensure dealership operations comply with applicable federal, state & local laws & regulations
  • Encourages compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Serves as effective dealership representative to community
  • Attend monthly financial statement review to discuss the results & implications of the financial statements
  • Conduct monthly operating plan meeting to review the previous months performance relative to objectives & to review & approve MOP for upcoming month
  • Handle client complaints & interactions in an attempt to maintain longevity of client relationships while maintaining the integrity and interest of Mossy
  • Tour dealership daily for visual inspection of property, contact with employees & to create awareness of dealership activities
  • Meet weekly with team managers, sales consultants, finance managers, service manager, parts manager & business manager to review & evaluate the performance of the departments, teams, & individuals, to determine progress relative to objectives & to discuss all other areas of concern

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Leadership & people skills that contribute to effective communication in managerial responsibilities
  • General Manager or General Sales Manager at High Volume Dealership Experience is required
  • Proven track record of achieving goals
  • Strong record of consistent positive Customer Satisfaction results
  • Team-oriented & effective in creating a positive work environment
  • Professional appearance & strong work ethic
  • Must be an overachiever who is focused, creative, competitive with a positive attitude/high energy personality
  • Clean driving record/ valid CA drivers license.
