About the Role
 
As an Enterprise Networking Solutions Engineer, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our customers, helping them design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable networking solutions that support their business objectives.
This role combines consulting, solution architecture, implementation, and ongoing customer engagement. You will work closely with customers throughout the project lifecycle, from discovery and solution design through deployment and ongoing support.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, aligning business objectives with networking, security, and connectivity solutions
  • Lead customer discovery sessions, technical workshops, and solution design discussions
  • Design and deliver secure, scalable, and resilient networking solutions across campus, wireless, data center, WAN, and cloud-connected environments
  • Develop and present solution designs, technical proposals, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Professional Services estimates, and Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Collaborate with account managers, project managers, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Implement, migrate, optimize, and support enterprise networking solutions throughout their lifecycle
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex networking and security-related issues in customer environments
  • Assess, document, and analyze customer environments while identifying opportunities for modernization, optimization, and risk reduction
  • Deliver technical documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials
  • Build lasting customer relationships through technical leadership, responsiveness, and exceptional service
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to provide informed recommendations and strategic guidance
  • Maintain and advance technical certifications aligned with business and market requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • 5+ years designing, implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise networking solutions
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise routing, switching, wireless, and network security technologies
  • Experience designing and supporting networking solutions utilizing platforms from one or more leading vendors such as Cisco, Arista, Aruba, Juniper, or equivalent technologies
  • Solid understanding of enterprise networking architectures, technologies, and protocols, including routing, switching, segmentation, and secure connectivity concepts utilizing technologies such as BGP, OSPF, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), VLANs, IPSec VPNs, and multicast
  • Experience gathering customer requirements and developing technical designs, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Strong communication, presentation, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and recommendations to both technical and business stakeholders
  • Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
  • Commitment to maintaining and advancing technical certifications

Modern Networking & Security
  • Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN) solutions such as Cisco SD-WAN, VMware VeloCloud, Meraki SD-WAN, Cato Networks, or similar platforms
  • Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Secure Service Edge (SSE), and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) architectures and solutions such as Cato Networks, Palo Alto Prisma Access, Zscaler, Netskope, Cisco Secure Access, or similar platforms
  • Identity-based network access control, authentication, and policy management solutions, including wired and wireless 802.1X deployments utilizing platforms such as Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, Juniper Mist Access Assurance, Arista AGNI, or similar solutions
  • Familiarity with modern data center networking technologies such as VXLAN, EVPN, and network segmentation architectures
Network Operations & Visibility

  • Network monitoring, observability, and performance management platforms such as ThousandEyes, LogicMonitor, SolarWinds, or similar solutions
Wireless Networking
  • Wireless networking experience with one or more enterprise wireless platforms, including Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Juniper Mist, Arista, or similar solutions
    • Understanding of 802.11 standards and RF fundamentals
    • Experience performing predictive and on-site wireless surveys; Ekahau experience is a plus
    • Experience supporting mixed-use wireless environments, including office, high-density, voice, and high-bandwidth deployments
Emerging Technologies
  • Familiarity with network automation concepts, APIs, scripting, and orchestration platforms
  • Understanding of hybrid networking and connectivity to public cloud environments, including AWS and Microsoft Azure
Certifications
Relevant industry certifications are valued. Examples include:
  • Cisco CCNA
  • Juniper JNCIA
  • Arista ACE Associate
  • CWNA
Advanced certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, ACE Professional, CWNP, or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
 
Education
  • Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered
Work Environment
 
This is a hybrid role that combines customer-facing engagements with remote work. Most customer travel is local within the market you support, though occasional travel outside the local area may be required.
