Job description

Our client is a growing manufacturing company who are immediately seeking an experienced Millwork Estimator to join their team on a part time basis. As a Millwork Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting their custom woodworking and millwork projects.
 
As our Millwork Estimator, you will be responsible for reviewing project specifications, calculating material and labor requirements, and providing accurate cost estimates for our custom woodworking and millwork projects. Your expertise in estimating will be essential in ensuring the successful completion of our clients' unique architectural visions.
Responsibilities:

  • Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to determine material and labor requirements
  • Perform detailed cost calculations, including material, labor, and overhead costs
  • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates and proposals for custom millwork projects
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure estimates align with project feasibility and timelines
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all estimating activities
  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to project managers and sales teams
Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Millwork Estimator or in a similar estimating role
  • Strong understanding of woodworking materials, construction methods, and industry best practices
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with estimating software and tools
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
