Job description


JOB SUMMARY

Marki Microwave is seeking a highly motivated individual who will join our company as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. As part of our team, you will oversee and document the receiving of packages, parcels and supplies, store/deliver items to the appropriate department/individual and prepare/process items for shipping using our ERP system. This is a position that requires a highly organized personality. You must pay close attention to small details while managing the logistics of a high volume of items entering and leaving the facility. Your role may be more heavily focused on one area over the other, however you will be responsible for learning both processes in their entirety.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receives deliveries and unpacks items in receiving area.
  • Compare packing list to company purchase order in ERP system to ensure that the quantities delivered are correct.
  • Process receipt of goods in Sage ERP system and pulls open work order shortage report for stockroom.
  • Create and document receipt lot numbers.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to Purchasing and/or QA department.
  • Routes incoming materials/items to QA and/or requesting department.
  • Prepare products for return to vendors as directed by Purchasing and/or QA department.
  • Package and prepare parts for shipment.
  • Process daily shipment transactions within the Sage ERP system.
  • International consolidated shipments, AES filings and EUS MK Denial screening.
  • Scan/electronic filing of sub-assembly work order packets and daily shipment documents.
  • Work closely with Logistics Coordinator on daily shipment coordination.
  • Other projects and/or department backup duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED required, some college is preferred
  • 2-5 years relevant administration, or related experience, particularly in manufacturing environment preferred
  • Shipping and receiving and/or stockroom experience preferred
  • Export Compliance knowledge preferred
  • Experienced in core Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (such as Sage ERP) preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and think critically in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines while also working collaboratively as a member of the sales/shipping support team
  • Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and thrive in a dynamic professional environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
