AAA Truck & Trailer Services Inc., serving the transportation industry for almost 30 years in the St. Louis Metro Region! Having recently expanded our capacity and service area to locations in Bridgeton, MO., Granite City, IL., and Sikeston, MO., we are the region's premier trailer service shop.

AAA specializes in top-quality truck and trailer repair services to keep your fleet running smoothly or your RV ready for the next trip. Our experienced technicians are equipped to handle everything from routine maintenance to complex repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of trailers, ensuring they are safe and operational. This role requires a strong background in TRAILER/vehicle maintenance and repair, as well as the ability to work with heavy equipment and machinery.

We have several shifts currently with complete hours of operations are Monday–Friday, 6 am – midnight.

AAA Truck & Trailer Services is looking for a Truck Trailer Mechanic / Technician to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of trailers to identify issues and necessary repairs.

Perform routine maintenance on trailers, including brake adjustments, tire rotations, and electrical system checks.

Repair or replace damaged components such as axles, brakes, and suspension systems.

Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical problems effectively.

Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely while performing repairs or moving trailers.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, always adhering to safety protocols.

Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair tasks.

Requirements

Trailer repair experience required

Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on trailers – chassis – light truck repairs

Experience with repairs including brakes, air system, lighting, landing gears, and doors

Needs to be able to do major body work including panel replacement and bottom/top rail repairs.

Diesel experiences helpful

Some welding experience

Must be able to work independently and safely

Ability to be a dependable team player

Major shop tools and diagnostic equipment is provided

Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs (up to 50 pounds).

Familiarity with farm machinery and Caterpillar equipment / RV trailers is a plus.

Experience operating heavy equipment is beneficial.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Valid driver’s license
