The Service Booker plays a critical behind-the-scenes role by accurately building and preparing repair orders, ensuring technicians and advisors have the information needed to execute work efficiently and correctly.

This role directly impacts shop productivity, repair accuracy, and overall service department performance.

What You Will Do

  • Create and "book" repair orders (ROs) in the dealership management system (DMS) based on internal inputs from Service Advisors, dispatch, or management
  • Accurately input labor operations, job lines, parts, and customer concerns into each RO
  • Ensure proper coding, menu alignment, and structure of repair orders to support efficient workflow and warranty compliance
  • Review repair orders for completeness, clarity, and accuracy before work is dispatched to technicians
  • Coordinate with Service Advisors, dispatch, and parts to ensure repair orders reflect the correct scope of work
  • Update and modify ROs as additional work is approved or scope changes occur
  • Support proper documentation standards to ensure downstream warranty claim accuracy and audit readiness
  • Maintain organized and accurate records within the DMS
  • Identify errors, inconsistencies, or missing information and proactively resolve them

What We Are Looking For

  • 1–3+ years of automotive dealership experience (service department preferred)
  • Strong understanding of repair order structure, labor operations, and service workflows
  • Experience working with a dealership management system (DMS)
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and process consistency
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple work items simultaneously
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with advisors, technicians, and parts personnel
  • A process-driven mindset with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and compliance

Pay: $25 - $35 / hour
