The QA Engineer is a lead position that provides expert technical direction at a project level. This role will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing tests for complex systems and equipment. The individual will collaborate with various teams across IT to identify the impacts of test requirements and improve the overall quality of the final deliverables. As a technical expert, this person will possess strong communication skills and will be expected to partner with business and technical groups in order to anticipate the effects of testing and bring timely resolution to critical issues. Within their area of expertise, this person will provide specialized advice and direction. They will contribute towards the team's continual process improvement, and will also provide industry knowledge regarding test strategy development, test R&D activities, and technical support when applicable.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years related experience as a QA Engineer/Tester
- Software Quality Assurance experience on Telecom BSS/OSS development projects
- Telecom Ordering or Billing or Customer Care Experience a MUST
- Very good understanding of Telecom data
- Experience with data conversion and migration
- Expert in Test Planning, coordinated Test Execution, Defect Tracking & Resolution
- Experience with HP ALM-Quality Center and other leading Test tools
Telecom Conversion experience (need to have most of these skill sets)
- Hands on SQL
- Telecom Order Management (product catalogue, USOCs...)
- CRM (Sterling/ Salesforce /Dynamics)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Efficiently and effectively automate manual test cases/scenarios.
- Maintain, support, and execute automated test scenarios (Major/Minor/Adhoc Releases).
- Identify, document, and manage defects using a defect tracking system, such as QC and/or Dimensions.
- Collaborate with fix agents, as required. Assist in reproducing issues in order to expedite defect resolution.
- Be an effective and inclusive team player.
