Job description

Summary
Performs clinical laboratory tests, procedures, experiments and analyses to provide data for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease; performs specimen procurement as appropriate; processes specimens; documents and reports test results; performs quality control and quality assurance functions; communicates with all customers.
Minimum Qualifications

  1. Completion of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program resulting in an Associate's degree or an Associate's degree in a related science, or compliance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) of 1988 personnel standards.
  2. American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS), or equivalent registry required. If not registered, but eligible for ASCP or ASCLS registration, must sit for the required exam within 6 months of hire and must pass the exam and become registered within 12 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's of Science degree in Medical Technology or a related science.
  2. One to three years of experience as a Medical Technologist.
