This position is responsible the repair and service on endoscopes (flexible and/or rigid) as well as the reservice of items that have failed in the field.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform the repair of endoscopes in accordance with company and OEM procedures and work instructions (Level 1 technician can perform the following repairs: Basic operating principles of endoscope, inspection and evaluation, dissemble and reassemble scope, remove fluid, repair and replacement of air/water nozzle, air/water channel, clear auxiliary water port, o'ring replacement at air/water separator, repair and replacement of video switch, bending sheath, adjust angulation, resurface/reseal objective lens, replacement of universal cord, suction channel, biopsy channel and c-cover.
  • Adherence to established manufacturing and material control policies and procedures in compliance with ISO quality standards.
  • Assist in the modification of detailed work instructions for the manufacturing, assembly and test of endoscope practices.
  • Assist in the diagnosis and service of repaired endoscopes that have failed in the field.
  • Comply with ISO quality standards including capturing assigned data for analysis and reporting to the customer and suppliers.
  • Documents and maintain accurate records of all evaluations, repairs, adjustments, calibrations, etc. performed on all equipment.
  • Adheres to the Company's Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Management System procedures, and all safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist other areas of the service operations on and as needed basis

Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude. Able to quickly pick up on new processes and technologies with minimal guidance
  • Attention to Detail, Thoroughness, Organization, Hand-Eye Coordination
  • Ability to interpret schematics, prints, illustrated parts, diagrams and technical manuals.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required or its equivalent in electronics or equivalent medical device training is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the repair of endoscopes
  • Previous experience working in environment subject to ISO 13485: 2016 Medical Devices

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • The position requires little or no travel (less than 10% of the time).

Pay Range:
Level 1: $20.00-23.00
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
