Job description

Summary:
Our welders are responsible for fabricating custom and standard components, utilizing both welding fixtures and precise blueprint and tape measurement skills. This hands-on position is based in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Our team takes great pride in the craftsmanship and quality of the service bodies we produce.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Performs welding on a variety of metal components, primarily galvanneal and mid steel.
  • Interprets blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to weld parts using a tape measure and layout techniques, or fixtures.
  • Conducts pre-weld and post-weld inspections to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Grinds, cleans, and finishes welds as required to meet cosmetic and structural requirements.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment by following company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
  • Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors and other related departments to resolve issues and improve processes.

Qualifications:
  • Technical certification or welding school preferred.
  • 1-3 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Proficient in MIG welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tape measure accurately.
  • Understanding of welding symbols and tolerances.
