Who We Are:
ENI Labs, an ATS company, provides a wide array of calibration services in numerous industries including, Medical, defense and general manufacturing to ensure the accuracy of various instruments and tools.
The Position:
ENI Labs is seeking a Calibration Technician to perform precision calibrations and measurements on equipment in accordance with internal procedures and customer requirements. This role is focused on accurate measurement execution, proper documentation, and supporting both laboratory and onsite calibration activities.
This is a full-time role is and is located in our lab in Ft. Wayne, IN. This position offers a competitive compensation and Total Rewards package including, medical / dental /vision / life insurance, 401K + company match, STD/LTD options, PTO/vacation pay, tuition reimbursement and more!
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform calibration and verification of measurement equipment, including:
    • Bore gages, thread gages, and measuring tapes
    • Gage blocks and pin gages
    • Calipers, micrometers, height gages
    • Dial indicators and test indicators
  • Operate precision measurement systems, including:
    • Surface plates
    • Optical comparators
    • Universal Measuring Machines (UMM), including Labmaster systems (e.g., LMU) is a plus
    • Supermicrometers / bench micrometers
  • Perform measurements in accordance with established procedures and work instructions
  • Record and document measurement results accurately in calibration software (e.g., IndySoft)
  • Interpret basic specifications and tolerances to determine pass/fail results
  • Identify and report out-of-tolerance conditions
  • Maintain proper handling, care, and storage of standards and customer equipment
  • Support onsite calibration work at customer facilities
  • Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures

Qualifications
Technical Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with measurement equipment
  • Experience operating a Universal Measuring Machine (UMM), including Labmaster-type systems preferred but not required
  • Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and tolerances
  • Strong attention to detail and repeatable measurement technique
  • Basic computer skills and data entry capability

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a calibration or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with calibration workflows and documentation practices
  • Experience with calibration software (e.g., IndySoft)

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Physical & Travel Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to ~50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to travel up to ~25% in the tri-state and surrouding area for onsite calibration work
  • Ability to work overtime as needed, including extended hours during peak workloads or onsite assignments
  • Valid driver's license record required

Work Environment
  • Laboratory environment with controlled temperature and humidity
  • Frequent onsite work in manufacturing and industrial environments
