What are some common challenges massage therapists face when transitioning to work in a spa or clinic setting?

Massage therapists moving into a spa or clinic environment often need to adapt to working with a diverse clientele and managing back-to-back appointments, which can be physically demanding. They must also become comfortable following specific protocols or treatment menus, maintaining client confidentiality, and working collaboratively with other wellness professionals. Time management and self-care are critical to avoid burnout, and therapists may need to adjust to a team-oriented culture rather than working independently. Many find that strong communication skills and adaptability help them thrive in these structured settings.
