DescriptionJob Title: Lake House Assistant General Manager
Reports To: General Manager
Summary: An Assistant General Manager will assist the General Manager in managing all aspects of the restaurant, including staff supervision, inventory management and customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Create a positive, fun, safe and professional work environment
- Conduct and or assist the GM with interviewing and hiring staff
- Train new hires and explain policies, procedures and use of equipment
- Oversee shift management to ensure smooth operations during opening, closing and peak hours
- Assist with payroll
- Complete weekly orders for beer, wine, liquor and bar/dining room supplies
- Assist with daily reconciliation of cash
- Assist with daily reconciliation reports including sales, house charges, banquet credits, banquet deposits, gift comp trades and other items
- Assist with monitoring house accounts for payments outstanding or past due and resolve
- Assist with the POS system to ensure all menus and related activities such as dining room and banquet events
- Inspect food and presentation to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations
- Investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints
- Issue and redeem gift cards and discounts
- Keep dining room in clean and orderly condition according to health department regulations
- Report needed repairs and unsafe conditions
- Other duties as assigned
