Description
Job Title: Lake House Assistant General Manager
Reports To: General Manager
Summary: An Assistant General Manager will assist the General Manager in managing all aspects of the restaurant, including staff supervision, inventory management and customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create a positive, fun, safe and professional work environment
  • Conduct and or assist the GM with interviewing and hiring staff
  • Train new hires and explain policies, procedures and use of equipment
  • Oversee shift management to ensure smooth operations during opening, closing and peak hours
  • Assist with payroll
  • Complete weekly orders for beer, wine, liquor and bar/dining room supplies
  • Assist with daily reconciliation of cash
  • Assist with daily reconciliation reports including sales, house charges, banquet credits, banquet deposits, gift comp trades and other items
  • Assist with monitoring house accounts for payments outstanding or past due and resolve
  • Assist with the POS system to ensure all menus and related activities such as dining room and banquet events
  • Inspect food and presentation to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations
  • Investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints
  • Issue and redeem gift cards and discounts
  • Keep dining room in clean and orderly condition according to health department regulations
  • Report needed repairs and unsafe conditions
  • Other duties as assigned
