The Lumistella Company is a global intellectual property company dedicated to bringing Santa's North Pole to life for children around the world through consumer products, original entertainment and brand experiences. We are home to the most iconic and beloved Christmas brands of this generation including The Elf on the Shelf, Elf Pets, and Elf Mates.
The Web Designer will be responsible for executing and supporting digital initiatives, in whole or in part, that enhance the digital experience of The Lumistella Company's house of brands. This position has a focus on website design for our US-focused websites, our online store, our Scout Elf Ideas app, and occasional support of retail and international partnership requests, as well as ad hoc projects. The Web Designer is dynamic, energetic and enthusiastic about all things web design and is flexible with shifting demands and managing time. They ensure adherence to brand and accessibility guidelines and produce high-quality solutions that meet both internal creative and development standards, as well as specific business goals related to each project.
The Web Designer will:
• Create thoughtful concepts and execute production ready assets to be used on the company's websites, apps, and games.
• Ensure all designs adhere to design and accessibility best practices while keeping user experience, brand continuity, marketing goals, trends, and technology requirements in mind.
• Gain supervisor's and Creative Director's input on designs to maintain a congruent look and feel, and meet quality standards, while actively engaging in the iterative revision process.
• Add and update assets in existing WordPress layouts.
• Adhere to delivery schedules that align with important launch dates.
• Protect company assets through the proper management of files and adherence to company policy regarding information security and management.

The ideal candidate will bring:
  • Five (5) or more years of digital/web design experience
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
  • Intermediate proficiency in Figma and basic proficiency in Adobe XD
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, OneNote, and Teams Basic understanding of designing for device responsiveness, accessibility, and UX/UI
  • Basic knowledge of existing and emerging generative AI technology such as Adobe Firefly; experience with other AI tools a plus
  • Exceptional design skills utilizing design best practices with an eye for brand adherence,
    and the ability to execute expediently and efficiently
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under pressure
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
  • Be a quick learner with a proactive approach to skill and efficiency improvement
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and strong time management skills with accountability for meeting deadlines
  • Team-oriented and collaborative
  • Ability to create using Mac hardware (and its latest operating system)
  • Basic knowledge of WordPress
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS

Education requirements:
