Job description

Company
Founded by CPAs, tax attorneys, and engineers, Taxbit is the leading innovator automating global tax reporting for the digital economy. Taxbit's AI-enabled platform streamlines compliance related to digital assets, payments, and other financial transactions. Its unique combination of deep subject matter expertise and AI-forward technology have made it a fast-growing disruptor trusted by the world's leading fintechs, marketplaces, digital asset players, Big 4 accounting firms, traditional enterprises, and government agencies. Backed by top-tier Silicon Valley VCs, Taxbit's team is located across offices in San Francisco, New York, Seattle, Salt Lake City, London, Madrid, and Singapore.
Opportunity for Impact
We're hiring our first dedicated brand designer to help build the Taxbit brand in-situ, through real work, not guideline decks. The role spans brand identity, marketing collateral (decks, RFP responses, 1-pagers, sales enablement), website and landing pages, and short-form motion and video. It's also a design enablement role: you'll build templates, components, and reusable systems that raise the design bar across the company, so good craft scales beyond your own hands.
This is a small, high-leverage marketing team. We use AI tooling to operate above our headcount, and we expect designers to be faster and more ambitious because of it, not threatened by it. You'll work directly with the Head of Content, Brand & Design, who comes out of design and product leadership, so the bar on craft is high and feedback is real.
Our taste runs editorial and typographic, closer to the lineage of editorial and exhibition design than to startup product gloss. The work is in service of enterprise compliance, which means our audience has no patience for decoration. The craft has to live in the structure, not on the surface. We want a designer with a real point of view about typography and information architecture, excited to help shape Taxbit into a global brand.
*Send us a link to your portfolio. We care about the work and the thinking behind it. Cover letters are optional.
Role and Responsibilities
  • Design marketing collateral that actually moves deals: sales decks, RFP responses, 1-pagers, factsheets, landing pages, event assets, social cards.
  • Partner on the Phase 1 website redesign, owning visual direction, layouts, and component-level craft alongside the broader team.
  • Build and evolve the brand system as we go. Typography, color, layout, iconography, the visual register of the voice. Build it through artifacts, not guideline decks.
  • Produce short-form motion and video assets: product explainers, social cuts, conference loops, animated stat callouts, kinetic typography. Polish over volume.
  • Help raise the design bar across Taxbit. Contribute to templates, components, and reusable artifacts so the broader team (PMM, sales, customer marketing) can produce strong work. Make good design accessible, not gatekept.
  • Use an AI design stack as leverage in your day-to-day.
  • Work cross-functionally on the visual layer of enablement materials, campaigns, and launches.
Professional Qualifications
Must Have

  • Strong fundamentals: typography, layout, visual hierarchy, color, systems thinking. These are non-negotiable.
  • Range across deliverables. Brand identity, marketing collateral, web. You don't need to be elite at all of them - show us one area you've gone deep in and the rest at credible competence.
  • Real motion or video work in your portfolio: short-form narrative cuts, animated explainers, kinetic typography, product walkthroughs. Motion is a strong differentiator for this role and we'll lean toward candidates who can demonstrate it.
  • Comfort with an AI-augmented workflow. You don't need to have used every tool, but you should be curious about them and integrate them into how you work.
  • Comfortable working remotely across time zones. The marketing team is distributed across the US and EMEA.
  • You love design. Not as a job, as a discipline. You read about it, argue about it, notice it everywhere, and you're still excited about it on a Wednesday afternoon.
Nice to have
  • Experience designing for a B2B audience or technical product, especially in fintech, compliance, infrastructure, or developer tools.
  • A point of view on how brand and content work together. We treat them as one system, not two adjacent functions.
  • Experience working in or building a design system from zero, not just maintaining one.

The base salary range for this role is $80,000-$110,000. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits. Actual compensation will vary depending on various job-related factors, including, but not limited to location, experience, level, and job qualifications.
Benefits & Perks
  • Competitive cash compensation (based on experience)
  • Equity (RSUs)
  • Competitive benefits package
  • A modern 401(k) plan
  • Hybrid working model: 3 days in-office, 2 days WFH/flexible
  • Monday team lunches, snacks and drinks
  • Discretionary Time Off - enjoy the flexibility to rest, refuel, and recharge
  • Paid parental leave to bond with your child
  • Fertility Benefit
  • Autonomous work and flexibility in how work is performed
