Summary/Job Scope

Purpose of Position: Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and physical structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform 5 senses inspections on machines or equipment to detect malfunctions, diagnose problem and repair machine.
  • Dismantle defective machinery and equipment, install new or repaired parts as required.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Repair and maintain physical structures. Perform rigging and lifting of heavy loads.
  • Fabricate from prints or sketches in accurate and timely manner.
  • Operate cutting torch and welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Inspect parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring devices.
  • Participate in good housekeeping practices within the plant.
  • Promote environmental and safety awareness in alignment with safety and environmental goals.
  • Conduct routine planned work observations.

Qualifications and Education:

  • Heavy industrial experience is required.
  • Pneumatic and hydraulic equipment experience is required.
  • Previous experience with dismantling and repairing machinery is required.
  • Journeyman Millwright license/card is required.
