SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-Valley

Position Overview:

Implements programs and projects that enhance patient access and experience to make Sutter Health and its regional affiliates the customer-centered system of choice. Directs the strategic planning, business development, new product development, and business planning for Sutter Health and its regional affiliates. Identifies areas for business development and new products while completing feasibility studies in collaboration with Sutter Health executives. Ensures appropriate strategies have a direct linkage between the strategic plan, operating unit business plans, and budget processes.

EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

  • Bachelor's: Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or related field


TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 12 years recent relevant experience


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Advanced knowledge of methods and techniques for strategic planning, business and product development, risk management and financing, marketing strategies and tactics, and communications planning within an integrated and highly matrixed environment.
  • Established knowledge of healthcare operations, physician group, ambulatory, and patient care financing.
  • Diverse and thorough knowledge of healthcare trends, industry direction, regulatory compliance, competitive intelligence, and market research with the ability to integrate the information into actionable strategic and long-range plans.
  • Established knowledge of the advanced managed care marketplace and strategies that promote enterprise-wide, integrated solutions for payers and plan sponsors.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with audiences across all areas and levels within Sutter Health as well as external organizations.
  • Set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities and prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner.
  • Verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as: executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Make presentations to persuade others to accept a specific opinion or action, or to provide information and instruction.
  • Advanced knowledge of developing creative financial solutions and make projections using present and future values, loan computations, and annuity calculations.
  • Negotiate or exchange ideas, information, and opinions with others to formulate policies and programs and/or to arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions, or solutions.

Pay Range is $161,616.00 to $258,585.60 / annual salary

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health's comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
