Job description

Summary:
Solidus Resources is a U.S.-based gold development company backed by Waterton Mining. The Spring Valley Gold Project is located in the prolific Humboldt Range, an area with approximately 60 million ounces of gold endowment within a 50-mile radius.
The Spring Valley Project is a large-scale open pit gold heap leach operation, with a >10 year mine life and a production profile in excess of 300,000 oz annually. Using 300-ton class autonomous mining haul trucks and electric hydraulic shovels, the higher-grade ore will be crushed in a 13 Mst/a three stage crushing facility with a ยฝ" product size that is conveyed and placed on the heap leach pad with stackers, while the low-grade run-of-mine ore will be directly stacked using the mine truck fleet. The conventional heap leach pad is segregated into these two operating areas where it will be irrigated, with leach solutions collected and processed into dore bars through the ADR facility. Site infrastructure to support the operation such as haul roads, waste rock storage facilities, truck shops, water management, warehouses, offices, etc are also included in the project scope.
Position Overview:
The Electrical Lead will provide technical oversight for electrical power distribution, instrumentation, and control systems across the crushing plant, conveying systems, leach pad infrastructure, and ADR facility.
This role will initially support engineering and project planning efforts in Toronto through 2026, working closely with the EPCM engineering team during detailed design and construction planning. Upon completion of project construction, the role will transition to the Project site near Lovelock, Nevada to lead process operations.
The preferred candidate is from the Lovelock / Winnemucca area. The position requires experience in conveyors, material handling systems, and mining electrical infrastructure and NVE power supply.
Job Responsibilities
  • Review electrical one-lines, power distribution systems, and substation design
  • Provide input on MCC design, motor selection, and VFD integration
  • Oversee instrumentation and control system architecture
  • Review PLC/SCADA system design and automation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with MSHA and Nevada electrical standards
  • Support commissioning of plant electrical and control systems
  • Develop preventative maintenance programs for electrical systems
  • Provide operational troubleshooting support during ramp-up

Qualifications
  • 5+ years electrical/I&C experience in mining operations
  • Experience with crushing plants, conveyors, ADR facilities, and heap leach systems
  • Strong PLC/SCADA knowledge
  • Experience with medium and high voltage systems.
  • Willingness to work in Toronto through 2026 and transition to the Project site near Lovelock, NV
  • Nevada mining experience preferred
