Job Summary: Reporting to the Business & Technology Specialist the Learning Technology and Systems Specialist owns the operational and systems layer of CMR Instituteโ€™s technology function. This role ensures that learning platforms, content delivery systems, and internal tools run smoothly while supporting client LMS integrations and contributing to ongoing technology and AI initiatives. Working within a modern, SaaS-driven environment, the Learning Technology Specialist will administer platforms, troubleshoot content delivery issues, support client onboarding, and contribute to internal system improvements and technical projects. This role offers the opportunity to expand into broader responsibilities related to infrastructure decisions, vendor coordination, and contributions to custom technology builds, supporting continued growth in technology strategy and development.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Administer and maintain CMRโ€™s learning technology ecosystem while serving as a technically fluent contributor to thelearning application stack, participating in development discussions, supporting integrations and platform builds, andcollaborating with the development team and Technology lead
  • Serve as the point of contact for IT operations, triaging issues, and coordinating with managed service providers as needed
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues impacting internal teams or clients
  • Support internal technology needs, including workstation setup, basic office technology, and system access
  • Support client onboarding and configuration for content delivery platforms and LMS integrations
  • Troubleshoot content delivery issues, including SCORM errors, LMS compatibility issues, and tracking/ reportingdiscrepancies
  • Assist with testing, validation, and deployment of eLearning content across platforms and environments
  • Participate in client-facing discussions when technical support is needed, particularly related to LMS integrations anddelivery environments
  • Partner with Client Success and Learning Strategies to ensure seamless learner experiences
  • Maintain and update website and platform environments (e.g. WordPress, hosting platforms, databases)
  • Support internal content repositories and knowledge hubs through documentation and system upkeep
  • Assist in testing, QA, and coordination of custom development and integration projects
  • Document systems, processes, and workflows to improve scalability and team efficiency as well as identify opportunities toimprove key workflows, system performance, and technology utilization
  • Serve as a contributor to CMRโ€™s AI-enabled learning infrastructure, including MCP-based content delivery, LLM APIintegrations, and AI-augmented workflows, supporting implementation, testing, and ongoing optimization in coordinationwith the Technology lead
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of learning technologies, LMS environments, AI capabilities, and content deliverystandards
  • Readily perform other duties as needed to support CMR Instituteโ€™s mission and strategic goals

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Instructional Technology, or a related field; or equivalentcombination of education and hands-on experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in IT, learning technology, systems administration, or related technical environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work within SaaS-based platforms, including configuring, managing, and troubleshooting cloud-based systems
  • Demonstrated fluency in modern web technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS โ€” enough to read,write, debug, and contribute meaningfully in a technical environment
  • Working familiarity with React and/or Next.js; ability to navigate a codebase, understand component structure, and contribute to front-end work without requiring foundational instruction
  • Exposure to database technologies and hosting environments โ€” including relational and document-based databases (e.g., MySQL/phpMyAdmin, MongoDB) and cloud database platforms (e.g., Neon)
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps concepts, particularly AWS services (Lambda, S3, CloudFront or equivalents)
  • Familiarity with version control (Git), API integrations, and working within structured development workflows and documentation practices
  • Working knowledge of web fundamentals, including how front-end and back-end systems interact
  • Foundational understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning standards such as SCORM, xAPI/Tin Can, cmi5; ability to support and troubleshoot across platforms
  • Familiarity with web hosting environments, domains, or content management systems
  • Exposure to databases or data structures
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Python or server-side scripting
  • Depth in AWS or other cloud development operations platforms
  • Experience with AI technologies like MCP servers and APIs
  • Articulate suite or other learning authoring tool familiarity
  • Familiarity with WordPress or headless CMS environments
  • Exposure to SCORM packaging and publishing workflows from authoring tools
