Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the position Sales Support Specialist is responsible for researching and qualifying potential customer leads for the Dedicated Contract Services (DCS) &/or Enterprise sales force. This position analyzes reviews transportation requirements and supply chain needs of prospective customers to determine a fit for the division's business model. The incumbent supports the internal sales team through various administrative duties such as assisting with marketing campaigns and/or sales analytics.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct lead prospecting and qualification activities through the use of web-based tools, customer contact lists including outreach and verification, research and other outreach methods (e.g., telephone contact).
• Provide other sales and marketing support as needed, such as developing sales collateral, marketing campaigns, email blasts, measuring campaign effectiveness, customer presentations, etc.
• Support the response to RFPs and RFIs, as needed • Analyze competitive landscape for their region and provide analysis to the sales force to support pursuit efforts.
• Assist the internal sales team in determining the market area needs for their assigned region, ensuring an adequate number of sales leads and setting appointments with prospective customers.
• Actively maintain customer information within internal systems (Market Research Center), and works within the CRM to test the process, manage internal processes, address issues, etc.
• Create & reviews reports analyzing key lead generation metrics • Train internal sales team on sales/marketing tools & systems.
• Limited business travel is required when applicable. (internal events, customer meetings, etc.).
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED AND 1-2 years of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, and/or equivalent military experience.
AND/OR Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences.
Strong professional communication skills applied internally and externally.
Proven experience in establishing and maintaining healthy working relationships.
Experience in generating leads and distributing to sales personnel.
Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy.
Accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Experience in Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
Experience in learning internal sales/lead generation systems.
Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and shifting priorities and directives.
Ability to perform in a stressful and high-pressure work environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors in Business Administration, Marketing, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field

Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company's bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
