Job description

Core Operations sits within Chase's Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) Operations organization and spans a large, complex, and globally distributed footprint. Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer for Auto and Operations, this leader will oversee internal and executive communications and manage a team of six communicators.

As the Executive Director, Head of Communications for Core Operations Chase within Consumer & Community Banking, you will be part of the Consumer & Community Banking Operations organization, encompassing India & Philippines Corporate Centers, Collections, Recovery & Auto Operations, Centralized Transaction Operations, Regulatory Operations, and Customer Service and Card Lending Operations. The organization serves customers, employees, lines of business, and functions across CCB, requiring communications that are scalable, consistent, and attuned to a global audience. You will bring strong judgment, executive presence, and a proactive mindset, translating complex business priorities into clear, compelling communications that lead employee engagement and operational alignment.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead internal and executive communications for Core Operations, setting a high bar for clarity, timeliness, and impact.
  • Develop and execute an integrated communications strategy that advances business priorities, supports growth, and reinforces key messages with Core Operations employees across a global team.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Head of Core Operations and their senior leadership team, providing strategic counsel on executive positioning, organizational messaging, and high-impact communications.
  • Lead executive communications, including speeches, town halls, leadership forums, employee engagement initiatives, and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Lead internal communications that inform, inspire, and align employees to the business strategy, culture, and performance objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of six communicators, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.
  • Partner with communications teams across Consumer & Community Banking and the firm to ensure consistency of messaging and alignment with enterprise priorities.
  • Navigate the complexity of a globally distributed organization, ensuring communications are relevant, inclusive, and impactful across geographies including the United States, India, and the Philippines.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, or related disciplines, including demonstrated leadership responsibility.
  • Proven ability to design and implement strategic communications programs that support business objectives and enhance employee engagement.
  • Extensive experience advising senior executives and operating effectively within complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the executive presence needed to influence and counsel senior stakeholders.
  • Strong people leadership skills with a track record of building, developing, and retaining high-performing teams.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making capabilities, particularly in fast-moving or high-profile situations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
