Job description

Step into a dynamic leadership role with Groundhog Landscaping and help us create amazing outdoor spaces for customers throughout Derry, NH! We're hiring a motivated and attentive person to become a full-time Landscape Crew Foreman and oversee small teams throughout various outdoor installation and maintenance projects. WHAT YOU'LL DO AS OUR LANDSCAPE CREW FOREMAN:

Standard work hours are 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility on start/end times based on weather and job requirements.

You'll be in charge of a small team of 2 to 3 crew members, leading them in performing high-quality work, meeting deadlines, and delivering amazing results for customers. Jobs may include plant installations, lawn installations, small hardscape projects, general landscaping maintenance, and more. You'll figure out your goals for the project, professionally speak with customers about their visions, and get to work. Combining leadership and hands-on responsibilities, you'll ensure every person (including yourself) follows safety protocols, quality guidelines, and customer expectations. You'll safely operate equipment and maintain machinery like mowers, skid steers, and mini excavators. You'll also document your services and submit accurate project reports.

To Qualify, You'll Need:

  • Ability to manage crews and perform hands-on landscaping tasks
  • Ability to lead your team in completing high-quality work while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work occasional Saturday shifts during the busy season
  • Proficiency in operating landscaping tools like skid steers, mini excavators, mowers, chainsaws, sod cutters, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to following all safety protocols on the job site
