The group you'll be a part of
The Corporate Strategy Group charts our course for long-term profitable growth. This team drives Lam in the development of and alignment to our strategic priorities and key initiatives. Additionally, they oversee Lam's Corporate Development team and Lam Capital, which makes investments that help fuel technologies of the future.
The impact you'll make
As a member of the Lam Corporate Strategy team you will be responsible for driving and orchestrating projects focused on leading Lam to make the best strategic choices in support of our corporate objectives.
What you'll do
  • Take ownership of significant portions of strategy development and generate creative, action-oriented insights and recommendations.
  • Facilitate joint problem-solving with mid-level and senior-level business partners.
  • Distill information, gain clarity of ideas, synthesize insights, and define next steps for execution.
  • Produce novel research work products, often challenging existing company strategies with new insights.
  • Deliver timely and impactful recommendations, ensuring the organization is engaging in the right strategic discussions.
  • Synthesize data to identify trends and insights, and proactively identify and close gaps in the collective knowledge base.
  • Understand and stay current with the competitive landscape.
  • Author and deliver high-impact presentations and plans to senior management

Typical Projects Include
  • Analysis of ecosystem and competitive trends to identify growth opportunities and disruptive threats.
  • Development of detailed growth strategies, with sufficient depth to undergo stress testing and integration into the corporate planning process.
  • Critical, insightful analyses of Lam and its ecosystem that deliver actionable strategic options.

Who we're looking for
  • Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Semiconductor industry experience.
  • Excellence in structured thinking, with superior analytical capabilities (both quantitative and qualitative).
  • Ability to identify and define business questions and issues, and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to help drive strategic debate.
  • Exceptionally strong personal initiative, sound business instincts, and comfort working in environments with high levels of ambiguity.

Preferred qualifications
  • Strong understanding of Lam, its ecosystem, and the trends that are and will shape its future.
  • Creative, out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious and demonstrates a continued interest in learning.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous high-priority projects, often including project management of cross-functional teams.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary
CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $114,000.00 - $253,000.00.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
