Job description

The Kiln Supervisor will be responsible for all functions at the Kiln and Boiler department including safe work practices and procedures, stacking/loading/drying quality, drying practices and kiln schedules, operator scheduling, and coverage.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive system inspection to identify areas of concern and opportunity
  • Work with operations to complete detailed safe work procedures
  • Ensure appropriate records are maintained for the Kiln and boiler
  • Daily quality audits
  • Feedback and communication with stacker department
  • Yard inspections
  • Work practice audits and standardization
  • Quality testing
  • Interface with leadership and kiln operators
  • Maintenance assignments and planning
  • Preventative maintenance checks and routines

Requirements you will need:

  • Preferred--At least 1-2 years of Kiln and Boiler management experience
  • High school diploma
  • Mechanical aptitude & experience troubleshooting
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent team-building and motivational skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check
