What you’ll do…

We are looking to hire a detailed-oriented, driven, and resourceful professional to help the shipping, receiving, and inventory responsibilities to support the Operations & Maintenance (O&M), the Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Construction groups with inventory coordination, shipping, receiving, and other responsibilities to allow safe and efficient inventory operations. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills and have experience in inventory/warehousing and freight logistics. This role will help warehouse / inventory operations while creating a safe environment, maintaining quality and minimizing unnecessary costs. Including managing the daily movements of goods, from suppliers to receiving docks, ensuring supply chain processes like inventory, storage, and transportation are efficient and on schedule. Key duties include planning routes, coordinating with suppliers and staff, managing shipping documents, and resolving issues to maintain smooth operations and meet deadlines.


You’ll make an impact by:

  • Ensuring the smooth execution of daily logistics activities, including scheduling, storing, and goods in transit completion of materials.
  • Tracking and monitoring dispatched shipments to ensure accuracy and availability, and handle receiving new shipment demands.
  • Planning and managing the movement of goods, which may include selecting carriers, planning routes, and tracking shipments.
  • Communicating with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to ensure coordination and address any logistical challenges.
  • Preparing shipping documents, purchase orders, and ensure all paperwork is accurate and complete.
  • Identifying and resolving issues that may arise to prevent delays and keep the supply chain running efficiently.
  • Adhering to all applicable safety standards and regulations.
  • Helping all shipping/receiving operations and guarantee inventory integrity through enforcement of inventory management policies.
  • Examining contents and compare them with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments.
  • Learning to prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials to domestic locations as needed.
  • Helping record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
  • Working with the safety department to report non-conforming supplier performance.
  • Being responsible for coordinating a safe shipping/loading and receiving/unloading environment for all items utilizing equipment that are manual, motorized, or other in nature.
  • Effectively communicating with others and can work both independently and on a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Completing and performing necessary certification (and recertification if necessary) training to utilize equipment as required to perform job function.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

You’ll sweep us off our feet if you:

  • Have experience with Lean/Operational Excellence standards and practices (i.e. 5S, Kaizen, etc.
  • Have knowledge of/ experience using inventory management systems
  • Have knowledge of/experience using financial/accounting system.
Requirements:

What you’ll need:

  • 4+ years previous experience in Logistics.
  • Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions
  • Knowledge of security/Safety operations and procedures.
  • Capable of immediately responding to emergencies to provide necessary assistance.
  • Effective written and oral communications.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and coordinate with other areas to achieve goals and objectives with minimum direct supervision.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and complete tasks as needed.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, be a self-starter, be able to meet goals and deadlines on own initiative.?
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Smartsheet, MS Outlook, Word, Excel & Power Point.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Must maintain a valid state issued driver's license.
  • Physical requirements and working conditions: Must possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and to use standard warehouse equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry 50 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. Frequent standing, walking, and extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
