Stewart's Shops is expanding in Vermont. We are a growing convenience store chain in New York and Vermont with friendly store associates and great customers. We are looking for Manager Trainees to join our fast-track training program in our shops.Our Manager Trainees work closely with Shop Managers to learn our operational standards and procedures with the goal of becoming a Shop Manager.Our ideal candidates will have previous convenience store or food service management experience with excellent customer service and possess a hands-on, personal management style
This is a full-time position that requires a flexible schedule.Stewart's Shops is known for: Our fun work atmosphere- Our shops are fast paced and fun to work in. You will work with people who are owners and get to know many of our long term and loyal customers. Flexible schedules- Our shops operate between 18-24 hours of the day which allows for multiple shift options to maintain work-life balance
Growth opportunities- As a Manager Trainee, you will be exposed to multiple shops, managers and staff members whom you can learn from. Community Support- Stewart's Shops and the Dake Foundation donate $9 million to local non-profit organizations yearly.Manager Trainee Responsibilities: Find solutions, teach in context, and anticipate potential problems. Effectively listen and communicate with partners, senior management and district staff. Positively lead, motivate and teach Stewart's tools and solutions at weekly shop meetings
Initiate candid and honest conversations with others which our "smaller is nicer" management style fosters. Shop duties: prepare food, process customer transactions through the register, stock shelves, cooler and freezer, various housekeeping duties, share promotions and upsell products etc. Create schedules based on the needs of the business and partners availabilities and requests.We Offer: Starting Pay: $21-$24/hour and up based on experience
